津本浩平（東京大学大学院工学系研究科）を領域代表として、新学術領域「生命金属科学」が発足しました。期間は令和元年度から令和五年度までの５年間です。本領域では、生命が金属を活用する戦略「生命の金属元素戦略」を、分子から個体まで様々な生命の階層において解き明かすことを目的としています。詳しくは、メニューの研究内容から本領域設立の趣旨をご覧ください。よろしくお願いします。
A new research project (Head: Prof. Kouhei Tsumoto, The University of Tokyo) called “Integrated Bio-metal Science (IBmS)” has been started (2019 – 2023). A main purpose of this project is to establish “Biometal Science” by integrating all research fields related to bio-metals and will decipher tactics of how life utilize bio-metals.
